The Devon County Show held on May 15 to 17 at Westpoint, Exeter is the great curtain-raiser for the agricultural showing season in the South West.
It’s the first major opportunity for the showing fraternity; the first chance to compare notes, discuss the issues that matter and take a look at what’s on offer in the way of livestock, equipment and ideas.
Show president, Mary Quicke MBE, said: “At its heart the Devon County Show is a food and farming show – a vital part of what farming in Devon is all about - and that’s exactly how we intend to keep it.”
Among the highlights is a trial plot established by Mole Valley Farmer agronomists to show farmers how they can grow more and better grass for their livestock.
