The sun was shining for the final day of the Royal Cornwall Show which saw an excellent turnout to enjoy the huge range of events on offer.

With dog shows, flower shows, rare breeds, miniature ponies and morris dancing, there was something for everyone, plus refreshments galore with opportunities to taste cider, enjoy a cream tea and, of course, eat a Cornish pasty.

Unfortunately, an accident marred the day when a motorcycle rider was injured in an incident on the Wall of Death this afternoon. The rider, Ken Fox, was flown by air ambulance to Derriford Hospital but he received only bumps, bruises and scratches.

Devon & Cornwall Police are still appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to please contact them on 101 quoting log number 413 7/6/14.
