On one of the warmest days so far, around 3,500 visitors attended Rodway Farm’s annual Lambing Fun Day, to see the working farm, meet new-born lambs, take tractor/trailer rides, falconry displays and ferret racing!
The day was a great success, with people travelling from fair distances to visit, and £500 from ticket sales donated to the Somerset Floods Fund. Children had a fun time on the Tractor Ted Big Bounce, and in the children’s marquee where they could watch Punch and Judy, ride on mini diggers, get their face painted, and enter a colouring competition for a chance to win lots of Tractor Ted prizes!
Numerous stalls, selling sausages, cheeses, cakes, fudge, sweets, cards, gifts and much more, tempted visitors as they walked around the main arena, where they could then watch demonstrations from birds of prey, sheepdogs and ducks, and dogs completing agility courses.
