THOMAS Buckley, from Shirwell, near Barnstaple, who is a final year student at Shropshire-based Harper Adams University College, has been highly commended in the 2007 Farmplanner of the Year Award.
Thomas, 23, who has just completed a BSc (Hons) Agriculture with Land and Farm Management degree, was part of a successful team of four that were finalists in the competition that was arranged by the Institute of Agricultural Management (IAgrM). Students were invited to the Stoughton Estate, Leicestershire, to observe how a very large farming operation is managed.
