Mole Valley Farmers will host a free, forward thinking conference at Sedgmoor Auction Centre, near Bridgwater, specifically aimed at farmers, on Friday March 26 9.30 am – 4.30 pm.
AGRIVISION 20:20, sponsored by Lloyds TSB and Veale Wasbrough Vizards, will look at the underlying economic, political and technical issues, challenging the UK farming industry over the next 10 years and what this will mean for South West livestock producers.
Some lively debate is guaranteed at this easy to reach, one day event, with a dynamic speaker line up that combines future economic prospects for dairy, beef and sheep producers in the South West with bTB eradication, GM technology, EU and Government policy over the next 10 years.
Speakers include farm business economist, Sean Rickard, renowned for this forthright views; Shadow Agriculture Minister James Paice and what the first 100 days of a potential Conservative Government might hold; Professor Mick Fuller, respected international research scientist; Neil Parrish, former Chair of European Agriculture & Rural Development committee; farming leader and regional director, Melanie Hall, NFU South West.
