Farmers and landowners have only until March 14 to apply for the Countryside Productivity Small Grant scheme. Grants are available for 40% funding for new farm equipment.

Applicants can request between £3000 and £12000 of grant to fund up to 40% of the cost of new items under the Countryside Productivity Small Grants Scheme. There is a long list of eligible equipment including cattle & sheep handling systems, foot trimming crushes, EID readers, seed drills, calving detectors and many more items suitable for both dairy, sheep, pig, mixed and arable farms.

This scheme was opened on February 7 and will close on March 14 so the DR Company is urging farmers and landowners to take advantage of the fund as soon as possible before it closes.

Applicants will need to fill in an application form online and sign up to terms and conditions of the scheme. With this done after the closing date arrives, emails will be sent to applicants informing them if they have been successful.

The DR Company is able to help with all aspects of the application to the scheme, and if that particular funding isn't available, they will be able to recommend alternatives. The funding specialists will be at Mole Valley Farmers Yard, Field and Fence days on March 7 at Holsworthy, March 8 at South Molton and March 9 at Newton Abbot from 10am-2pm.
