Devon young farmers are resting after a busy run of activities, as their calender has been full of bingos, discos and shows for the past couple of months.

After Easter many members headed down to Torquay for the National AGM, and organisers from Devon YFC would like to thank each member than attended and showed young farmers off in such a good light.

Members also attended their Show and Sale at Exeter Livestock Market.

Top prices were made in all sections from the beef, sheep, and pigs, and there was a lot of support from members, parents and advisory of Devon YFC.

Seven clubs held their shows at the centre, alongside the county classes.

The whole day drew in a great crowd, and the stock was a credit to all members.

Winners on the day include Charlotte Alford, the supreme beef champion, Olly Reed, supreme dairy champion, Connor Pengelly, supreme sheep champion and Stuart Persey, supreme pig champion.

An amazing atmosphere was enjoyed throughout the day, and discussions have already begun into how to make next years event even better.

The organisers would like to thank Mark Davis, the Kivells team and Laura Stanbury, for making the show such a success.

Laura Stanbury, competitions chairman, said: "I must say a huge thank you to all of the businesses and sponsors for your generosity - it wouldn't have been possible without you.

"Lastly, but by no means least, a massive thank you to Kivells at Exeter Livestock Centre for hosting the event and Mark Davis who was the driving force behind it all.

"I'm very sure that this county event will go from strength to strength."
