Thousands of young farmers descended on Cornwall when they attended the annual South West Area and the Entertainments Final.

Representatives from Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and Dorset took to the stage at the Hall for Cornwall and each entertained the sold-out theatre.

Cornwall Young Farmers, with 'How Pink is your Panther', were announced as the well-deserved winners by the three judges Janet Elworthy, Jamie Hawkey and Paul Townsend.

Devon Young Farmers came in second with 'Play that Country Song' and Somerset Young Farmers came in third.

'How Pink is your Panther', produced by Mike Meer, featured a wide range of talent from men dancing in heels, aerial silk acrobatics, singing and comical sketches.

Clubs from all over Cornwall make up the cast of the production, with nearly 80 members participating altogether.

Devon Young Farmers were the overall winners of the weekend, with several triumphs in various competitions throughout the weekend including junior reading, situation vacant, junior public speaking, cheerleading, street dance and county chairman Claire Bellew, winning senior member of the year.

Now 'How Pink is your panther' and 'Play that Country Song' will go on to compete in the Southern Final, held in Cheltenham on March 19.
