Wadebridge Young Farmers finished the club year on a high at the Annual General Meeting, held on October 17 at Wadebridge Football Club.
Presidents, advisory, county representative and members gathered for the event, which began by giving this year's chosen charities their donations which were raised throughout the year through various activities. Cornwall Air Ambulance and Little Harbour were each given £1500 to go towards their well-deserved causes.
Members were reminded of their achievements over the course of the year, including county events such as the Cornwall YFC Entertainments team, which went on to compete at the South West Area round earning 3rd place. The club are also proud winners this year of nine County Cups in total, for various courses and competitions.
New roles were elected at the AGM for the coming year, with Jenna Lutey taking place as Chairman and Jemma Davies as Secretary. The club would like to wish all new officers the best of luck, and thank Sam Hodge and Laura Bennett for the fantastic job they have done at being Chairman and Secretary. Also, thank you to Mr Edgar Bowden who has now stepped down as being President, and Mrs Hilary Hawkey for being Club Leader for the past four years.
Young Farmers is a brilliant way to make friends, take part in various activities and travel. For anyone interested in joining Wadebridge Young Farmers or knows of someone who would, please contact Jenna Lutey on 07972 278785 or Jemma Davies on 07969 916684.
