Agriculture students from former Cannington College, (now part of Bridgwater College’s Cannington Centre), recently held a thirty-year reunion in Wellington.

The alumni left the College in 1984 and have held reunions in the past to celebrate milestone anniversaries, and to coincide with when expatriates are visiting from abroad.

The reunion welcomed 12 out of 17 former students and their families from all over the country, and even further afield from Australia and Gozo! Some staff members also attended and reminisced about College years. The group enjoyed a buffet lunch, clay pigeon shooting and a tour of Werescote View - the home owned by a former student.

Since leaving the College, several of the former students are still in farming and associated industries, with one running his own farm in Australia. Others have moved on to Senior Management in companies such as Yeo Valley and South West Communications, and some have their own businesses. Another is an electrician, and one is a member of staff at a Land-based College in the midlands.
