The tragedy of the death of an eight-year-old boy who died after being overcome by slurry has highlighted the dangers of working on farms.
Robert Christie and his father, Bertie, 52, were working at a neighbour's farm at Dunly, County Antrim when they were found by a postman.
It is understood that they were overcome by noxious fumes. Robert was airlifted to hospital in Belfast but was pronounced dead. Bertie is critically ill in hospital.
Over 40 people have died on farms in Northern Ireland in the last six years, with six people dying as a result of working with slurry in the last two years.
The HSENI (Health and Safety Executive for Northern Ireland) is working to educate people about the dangers of working on farms and is promoting their SAFE campaign.
