Proving that where there's muck there's brass, members of Helston and St Keverne Young Farmers Club in Cornwall raised more than £700 through their annual dung run.

This took place last month on a day blessed with beautiful sunshine.

There was a good turnout from the club, with ten or more members showing their support through the much appreciated use of their pick-up trucks for deliveries and their man power for visiting the lay-by for dung.

The club sold in the region of 300 bags of dung on the day, with more filtering out over the following few days.

Club reporter Matthew Hosken said the event had proved “very successful”, with more than £700 being raised towards the club's chosen charity for this year, Cornwall Air Ambulance.
