New lecturer at Duchy College

DUCHY College welcomed a new Agricultural lecturer, Sam Walker, to Stoke Climsland this term to teach on the Agricultural First Diploma programme.

Food and Farming Union’s AGM

MEMBERS of the Women’s Food and Farming Union held their Annual General Meeting in the Farmers’ Club in London. Members present decided to adopt new standing orders to run alongside their present constitution until they can adopt a new constitution at their AGM in November.

MP to meet minister over Bovine TB issue

West Cornwall MP, Andrew George, will meet Farms Minister, Jim Fitzpatrick MP, in Westminster tomorrow to urge him to give farmers and wildlife specialists a greater say in the management of actions to control Bovine TB.
