Delicious food from early crop

THIS year I found things were slow kicking off in my kitchen garden, and I feel the weeks chasing by but as yet there are no pickings.

Officially cheap and nutritious

RECENTLY I was called upon to do a couple of pieces on the news programme on our local radio station, BBC Somerset. The subject was liver. Apparently some butchers had a huge surplus that they couldn't sell and some were sending it to landfill sites.

Food, glorious food – in Exeter

I HAD a great "day out" at the Exeter Festival of Food and Drink. We motored down to the Honiton Road Park and Ride and then used our wrinkly tickets to get a free bus ride into the city.
