Firefighters carried out an extraordinary rescue on Friday evening (April 14) on the sheer cliffs of a quarry - and a police drone managed to capture the moment that the stricken dog was reached.
Neilli, a nine month old spaniel had fallen into Yate quarry while on a walk.
After a concerted team effort, a firefighter from Temple succeeded in abseiling down the steep quarry to Neilli.
A police drone captured the emotional moment - and her waggy tail is clear for all to see.

While Neilli had suffered a broken leg along with some cuts and bruises, the fire service says that she is doing well.
A spokesperson for Yate Fire Station said: "We are glad to report that despite a few cuts and bruises, both Neilli and her owners are at home and resting up. Great work from all."
