Mastek Ltd was established in 2000 by Paul Quinn and is based in Cootehill, Co. Cavan, Ireland. The company has a solid reputation in forklift mast manufacturing for the material handling industry.

Since 2009 Mastek has become a world market leader in slurry handling and umbilical equipment. Mastek manufacturers a full range of umbilical and tanker dribble bars, trailing shoe applicators, reelers and associated equipment.

Two years ago Mastek officially opened a new state-of-the-art 924m2 factory unit, specifically for agricultural machinery. This has helped to increase production and grow their export business with machines now heading as far as Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Russia and New Zealand.

The UK is a key market for Mastek’s slurry equipment with Mark Roberts based in Shrewsbury and the new addition of Ben Willcox based in Somerset.

Mastek has two key partners in relation to their slurry systems. Snap-tite lay flat slurry hose is a key part of the business. The second key partner is Bauer who supply Mastek with its range of separation and pumping equipment.

Mastek updates their products on a continual basis with the latest technology and innovations. The same manufacturing processes and software which are used to design and manufacture the forklift masts ensures that the slurry equipment is structurally sound and has a market leading finish. Managing director Paul Quinn has spent the last five years developing what he describes as a state-of-the-art macerator which is dubbed the Supercut macerator. Its key features are six unique V-shaped cutting teeth which shear long fibre and plastic and one-way air valves on every outlet.

Paul said: "We are seeing huge increases in output and reliability of our machines due to the Super-cut macerator."
