With 14,800 square metres of trade space, 1.4 miles of trade stand frontage, more than 6,000 visitors, more than 300 cattle entries plus free parking, Speakers Corner and topical seminars, The Dairy Show truly does live up to its billing as the UK’s largest dairy show.

Taking place at the Bath & West Showground, Somerset on Wednesday October 3 2018, The Dairy Show is an essential date in the farming calendar, combining a comprehensive trade show with an exhibition of world class dairy cattle.

The show’s national significance is exemplified by the fact that it attracts over 300 trade stands from the UK and beyond, representing businesses from across the agricultural industry. This ‘one stop shop’ event offers visitors the opportunity to meet milk buyers, feed suppliers, AI companies and consultants, and also showcases an extensive display of agricultural technology, veterinary science and pharmaceutical advances.

With so many movers and shakers in attendance the event is also an excellent and profitable networking opportunity, while topical seminars and guest speakers provide plenty of food for thought and discussion throughout the day.

Dairy cattle are at the heart of the show with over 300 entries representing the six main breeds, plus classes for calves and Junior Showmanship to encourage the exhibitors of the future. The classes reach an exciting climax at the end of the day with each breed champion judged by a panel of five experts who mark the entrants out of ten, with all competitors hoping for the elusive 50 out of 50.

On the eve of the show the showground will play host to the ever-popular Dairy Industry Dinner which features the Dairy Industry Award; an award that is presented to the individual who has made the greatest contribution towards the development of the dairy industry.
