One of the most famous and 'life changing' rural leadership courses in the world is celebrating its 21st birthday.

Worshipful Company of Farmers’ in Dartington hosted their annual Challenge of Rural Leadership course on February 23 in Rosewarne, and attended by people from across the globe.

The course takes applicants from across the world who come to the South West to hear renowned speakers debate on current topics.

Nicky Mann, attendee and Nuffield Scholar from Australia, said: "The course is absolutely sensational, which has literally changed mine and 17 other people’s lives."

Alice Midmer, project manager at Linking Environment and Farming, said: "Thank you so much for putting together such a wonderful course, it was truly brilliant.

“I was not really sure what to expect, but it far exceeded any thoughts I did have in terms of challenge, intensity and fun.

"It was such an honour to spend two weeks with such a fantastic group of course mates as well as such renowned and handpicked speakers, who, without exception, got you thinking.

"To be able to take some time out to think about myself and my plans was a real luxury also and is an experience I will treasure.”
