The old adage pigs might fly is often used to describe an impossibility but one porcine who got stuck in a river had a bit of help to do just that from the fire brigade.
Firefighters from St Austell and Bodmin had to be called to save the unfortunate porker's bacon after it became stuck in the river in the river at Mill Lane, Grampound.
The rescuers, along with a vet, used line rescue gear to successfully rescue the pig by lifting it into the air in a hoist.
