We are a farmer-led Network bringing information, training, demonstrations, grants and opportunities to upland farmers across Exmoor.

The Network is open to anyone farming in the Exmoor Severely Disadvantaged Area or Exmoor National Park. It is free to join the Network to receive our e-bulletin “Agri-Update” and notice of all our activities.

Upcoming courses include:

Emergency First Aid at work on Friday September 11 at Withypool Village Hall.

This course will meet the needs of being an Emergency First Aider as laid down by the Health & Safety Executive (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and is valid for three years by the Institution of First Aiders. Modules covered aims and principles of first aid, legalities, responsibilities, record keeping and reporting, assessment of the situation, basic hygiene in first aid, shock, dealing with an unconsciousness casualty, seizure, resuscitation/ CPR/ defibrillators, minor injuries bleeding control, choking, heart attacks and angina. Cost £40 per person

Spraying courses: Safe Use of Pesticides PA1 arranged for Friday September 18– Cutcombe Market

We are coordinating the delivery of training on Exmoor for the City and Guilds courses: PA1 (Mandatory)- Foundation Course for all sprayer operators in safe use of Pesticides; PA2 Foundation Course for Ground Crop Sprayers Mounted or Trailed; PA4 – Granular Applicator and PA6 - Hand Held Applicator.
