Hundreds of farms across the country, including many in your region, will be opening their gates on the June 7 for the 10th annual Open Farm Sunday.
British farmers produce 50 per cent of the food we eat and this national event, organised by LEAF (Linking Environment And Farming) offers a great way for people to find out more about where their food comes from, talk to the farmers who produce it and get up close and personal with the countryside.
Each event is unique and activities range from farm walks and machinery displays, to sheep shearing and milking demonstrations. Most of the events are free too!
You can find out which farms in your area are taking part by visiting http://farmsunday.org/ofs12b/visit/findfarm.eb and searching by postcode or region.
