A ‘ride and drive’ event for quad bikes and UTVs is on the programme for an Open Day being staged by Cornish Tractors, the Landini tractor and machinery dealership at Week St Mary, Devon.

There will also be a comprehensive line-up of products from other manufacturers that Tim Ward and his team supply – including Conor tankers, spreaders and toppers, and trailers from JPM and Hudson – alongside a full display of the new Landini tractors that have been introduced in recent months. Purchases over £4000 made on the day will qualify for zero percent finance, subject to terms and conditions.

Landini manufacturer Argo Tractors in Italy is rolling out its biggest ever collection of new models – from small tractors traditionally used on dairy and other livestock farms to high-spec machines with the sort of fingertip controls and technology that larger arable units – and a lot of young drivers – now expect.

The line-up starts at 35hp with the popular Mistral heavy-duty compact that makes a great scraper tractor and goes all way to the new 6 Series four-cylinder and 7 Series six-cylinder tractors from 143hp to 212hp. They boast fingertip transmission and hydraulic controls among their thoroughly modern features, while more traditional controls remain on the new mid-range models that replace the familiar Powerfarm, Powermondial and Landpower.

Apart a new look, the 5-D, 5-H, 6C and 6L Series tractors come with more powerful but also more frugal engines, improved transmissions, and new cabs with modern interiors, more space and better visibility through larger windows.

All will be lined up ready for inspection at the Cornish Tractors event on Tuesday, March 17, which runs from 10am to 5pm, with refreshments served throughout the day.
