Here are a selection of forthcoming events being organised by the Exmoor Hill Farming Network.

Sprayer Selection Evening - Tuesday February 24, The Sportsman Inn, Sandyway 7.30pm Graham Ragg senior agronomist and product manager for Mole Valley Farmers will be attending an information evening on different sprays for different weeds and pests, best timings, chemical rates, alternatives to the main brands; tank mixes (spray cocktails) etc. followed by a Question and Answer session. All are welcome and booking essential with hot carvery £5pp.

CAP Reform Update - Thursday February 26 - The Exmoor White Horse Inn, Exford- 7.30pm Working with Bateman Hosegood, Kevin Bateman and Charlotte Furnival will provide our members with an information evening on the latest CAP update, Basic Payment Scheme, Countryside Stewardship and Countryside Productivity Scheme. All are welcome.

Micro Farming Group – Introduction to a Livestock Market - Monday March 2 at 7pm Gethin Rees from Exmoor Farmers Livestock Auctioneers will be on site to give a guided tour of Cutcombe Market, talking through the dos and don’ts, what’s expected, how to bid, what the buyers are looking for, paperwork involved, catalogue details, timescales, livestock fit for sale followed by a Q &A session.

The second part of the evening Heather Harley Conservation Officer and colleagues from Exmoor National Park Authority have been invited to come along and talk about their roles and what advice is available followed by Q & A session.
