Worcester Livestock Market will once again be the location for the annual sale of pedigree White Park Cattle which takes place on Saturday September 26 2015 starting at 11am. The 2015 event is the third annual sale organised by the Society.

White Parks are the UK’s oldest breed of cattle and are registered as a rare breed. They are not only noteworthy for their distinguished looks and ease of calving but are also increasingly used for cross breeding with off-spring showing great hybrid vigour and improved beef quality. The breed is very hardy and will successfully out-winter.

Building on the success of the first two sales held in 2013 and 2014 this third sale will showcase high quality pedigree un-served heifers, cows with calves and bulls being sold by members of the White Park Cattle Society.

The cattle will be auctioned by Clive Roads FLAA of McCartney’s who had an unrivalled reputation for selling rare breed stock. A Show will be held at 5.00pm on the evening before the Sale with classes for Bulls, Breeding Females and Young Stock.

Chairman of the White Park Cattle Society said; “Our annual pedigree sale is the showpiece of the Society and the White Park breed. We are aiming to re-create the ambiance of the Rare Breed Show and Sale at Stoneleigh and look forward to receiving the full support of our members and other interested buyers”.
