Are you looking for more livestock? Well if so, why not consider a rescue pig. Wood Green, The Animals Charity near Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire doesn’t just rescue dogs, cats and small animals – it also takes in livestock which need care.

Currently the centre has three piglets, two boars and a sow, called Tizzy, Adventure Pig and Mini all of which are in good health.

Their mum, Nelly and two other adults, Ethel (sow) and Bolt (boar), are also looking for a new home. All the adults are just under two years of age and the piglets are five weeks old. The adults have had their vaccinations and have been treated for mites and lice.

The three adults came from a home that had been convicted of animal cruelty and all the pigs were very skinny and unhealthy. Now, thanks to the care they have received at Wood Green, their health has improved and they are also becoming very sociable with humans.

The pigs are not kept at the Wood Green Animal Centre so if you are interested in offering them a forever home, as pets, please contact Charlotte or Marie on 0844 248 8181 ext.1256 or 0844 248 8181 ext.1380.
