Brian Etherington Meat Company has been awarded the SALSA accreditation, a highly endorsed food-safety standard signifying a greater paradigm of excellence in food practice.

Etherington Meats, based in Wheal Rose, Scorrier, is a wholesale supplier of quality meat and other produce committed to sourcing from local producers. The company pride themselves in achieving the highest quality and practice certification in their marketplace.

The accreditation is another string to Etherington Meat’s bow after recently becoming members of the exclusive Q Guild in 2014. The company are passionate about going above and beyond in their factory and achieving the requirements of SALSA is an excellent way of bettering the competition.

SALSA certification is only granted to suppliers who are able to demonstrate to an auditor that they are able to produce safe and legal food and are committed to continually meeting the requirements of the SALSA standard.

Brian Etherington Meat Co. supply meat and produce in Cornwall, the West Country and to London as well as other national restaurant and catering outlets. The business is a three generation family company established in Cornwall in 1954 employing over 50 local people. Etherington Meats expanded in 2013 to include a Farm Shop, Butchery Academy and Conference Facility on the eco-friendly development in Scorrier.
