Heavy snow has brought havoc to farms across the UK. There are reports of livestock being buried in several metres of snow, particularly in Scotland and northern England.
Heavy drifting snow over the weekend has placed many ewes and lambs in peril and severely disrupted the delivery of vital feed and fuel stocks.
Hill farmers say their animals are struggling to find grass, and fear they will find many dead once the snow has melted.
