The largest Massey Ferguson dealership in the south west has been created.

MST has won the tractor manufacturer's franchises for North Devon and most of Somerset to add to its large depots in Lee Mills and Tiverton. The company now covers south and mid Devon, from North Devon up through Bridgwater and into North Somerset and from Yeovil in South Somerset all the way to the Mendips.

To support the two new franchises MST is currently finalising plans to open a new depot facility in south Somerset, which should be ready by early 2018.

MST is one of the longest-running agricultural machinery dealerships in the country, having dealt Massey Ferguson machines since the 1940s.

Simon Foster, director at MST, said: "This is extremely positive news for our company and represents the largest structural change in our region for the supply of agricultural machinery for many years. This expansion is a huge opportunity for us. This makes MST one of the largest Massey Ferguson dealers in the UK, demonstrating its strong relationship with one of its biggest suppliers."

The new depot in Somerset will sell the full range of Massey Ferguson products as well as other complementary agricultural and ground care lines.

The project to open the new depot in Somerset and launch MST's stewardship of the Massey Ferguson franchise in the county will be managed by Matt Hellyer, MST's after sales director, and Mark Lyes, the company's agricultural sales manager.

MST is now recruiting skilled engineers, sales and parts people and is encouraging interested people to apply.
