A SOMERSET farmer’s daughter has recently qualified as a member of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers.

Rebekah Sparks, who qualified from the Royal Agricultural College with BSc (Hons) in 2010, has been working for David James & Partners in their Wrington office for just over 18 months.

Partner Richard Nancekivell is impressed that Bekki has achieved her qualifications at such a young age.

She is particularly adept at combining her practical agricultural farming background with excellent IT skills which is essential in the modern rural world.

Outside of the office Bekki gives much time and energy to helping out at a local youth project.

Rebekah will be assisting Felicity Snook, head of the Single Farm Payment Department and will have particular responsibility for the Environmental Stewardship Scheme.

She has already set herself up with the Rural Payments Agency so that she can deal with these applications online thereby improving the turnaround time.

Rebekah will also assist with agricultural tenancy matters including farm business tenancies.

David James & Partners offer a number of different specialist departments including planning and design as well as residential sales and lettings of rural property in addition to holding regular land and property auctions.

They are now taking entries for the first auction of the new year in March 2013.
