After 22 years' service to the Global Cheese Awards, Chairman Nigel Pooley has announced his retirement.
Under his chairmanship, Nigel worked hard to promote the show and its values and was instrumental in the rebrand to the Global Cheese Awards subsequently increasing entries and sponsorship.
Brenda Scott, Show Secretary said: "We would like to thank Nigel for all his hard work and commitment during his time with the show. Nigel has worked in the industry for over 50 years and has gained a huge amount of respect from colleagues and committee members.
"In his position as Chairman, Nigel has moved the Awards from predominantly Cheddar to attracting international entries from all four corners of the world and we are all very grateful for his tireless efforts over the years."
