Tickets for the inaugural UK Dairy Day on Wednesday September 17 are now available online amid tremendous demand from exhibitors and visitors alike.

“We’ve been overwhelmed by the amount of interest in UK Dairy Day,” said organiser Simon Gee. “We’ve already got 170 trade stands booked and are running a waiting list as we look at how best to expand into the maximum available space.”

To make ticket handling as easy as possible for visitors, the online system means visitors can simply use their smart phone to display their e-ticket on arrival. Alternatively, they can print off hard copy versions at home to bring along.

“Anyone who books before the end of August can save £6 a head on the gate prices, with all ticket holders benefiting from free parking next to Telford’s International Centre,” said Mr Gee.

With main sponsors Cogent Group, Holstein UK and NWF Agriculture, UK Dairy Day; which will be held will cover every facet of profitable dairy farming, as well as showing classes for all breeds of dairy cattle.

“The theme of the event is ‘Helping increase profits’, and with a combination of business seminars, showing classes and a wide range of exhibitors, visitors will have everything they need to improve their business under one roof,” said Mr Gee.

Seminar topics will focus on three zones affecting profitability: The Farm; The People, and The Cows. In addition, visitors can inspect new products and technology, and discuss health and nutrition strategies with a broad spectrum of exhibitors.

“As milk prices come under pressure, many producers are re-examining farm efficiencies to maximise profitability,” added Mr Gee. “From semen companies to cubicle design, and robotic milkers to nutritional boluses, UK Dairy Day has every aspect of profitable milk production covered.”

Visitors will also be able to eye up some of the best dairy cattle in the country, with 26 regional clubs entering teams for the National Holstein classes, and more than 250 cattle, representing every dairy breed, on display.
