Torridge planners have postponed until June a decision about a retrospective planning application for a slurry lagoon almost the size of a football pitch.
The lagoon, which measures 86.5 metres by 140 metres, at Beckland Farm in Hartland, Devon, was considered by Torridge district councillors this week. The application was recommended for approval by planning officers.
It had been submitted by the owner of the farm Peter Willes, who has previously submitted other retrospective planning applications .
Both the fact the applicant has previously submitted planning applications retrospectively and the lagoon's size is causing concern among those living near the farm.
