A North Devon dairy farmer has been ordered to pay costs of £1,665 after he admitted having a dirty milking parlour.
Alan Govier, 61, was found with traces of dung and old milk scale at his farm at Burrington, near South Molton, when it was checked by health inspectors.
Exeter magistrates heard he had received a series of 15 warnings and one official caution during the past 19 years. Mr Govier admitted two charges of having milking equipment and storage tanks contaminated with dung and milk scale.
He was conditionally discharged for 18 months.
