Slurry handling specialist Storth Machinery will be launching a range of umbilical spreading equipment at LAMMA, including a number of different reelers with sizes and designs that will suit everyone from small-scale farms to large-scale contractors.

The range includes – bobbin reelers, rear-mounted and trailed reelers. All are galvanised and rely on a heavy duty planetary gear box drive: this gives better torq when reeling in, has less wear, and is more reliable, than chain alternatives.

Storth is also offering a full range of slurry applicators – from simple splash-plates to trailing shoe injectors and dribble bars.

On the Storth stand at LAMMA [stand no: B61] there will be a heavy duty trailed reeler, ideal for large scale operations where up to 2000m of hose needs to be transported long distances.

A hydraulic control valve fitted to the rear of the reeler, allows the operator full control when reeling in the hose. Storth’s trailed reelers all come fitted with 550x55x22.5 wheels and flotation tyres, and have a draw bar attachment at the rear for towing.

The model on display at LAMMA carries 2000m of hose, weighs 789kg and has a 2.8m width. It retails at £12,400 + VAT.

Also on the stand will be Storth’s new rear-mounted reeler, capable of carrying 1200m of umbilical hose, shown in combination with a 7m dribble bar. This set-up retails at 16,000 + VAT.
